Since the first crossword puzzle, the popularity for them has only ever grown, with many in the modern world turning to them on a daily basis for enjoyment or to keep their minds stimulated. The puzzle was invented by a British journalist named Arthur Wynne who lived in the United States, and simply wanted to add something enjoyable to the ‘Fun’ section of the paper. Crosswords have been popular since the early 20th century, with the very first crossword puzzle being published on Decemon the Fun Page of the New York World.
